Frederick County can be a model for the state of Maryland. We need a county government that treats citizens and businesses alike with respect, and understands its proper role — not as a job creator, but as the provider of ideal conditions for businesses and families to thrive.
I bring a unique background to the Executive Branch of Frederick County. While most would move from the county level up to the state level, I want to come home and bring my knowledge of how to get things done back to our community. I am choosing to move from issues that affect the entire state, to micro-targeting issues happening in our own backyard.
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and saw the beautiful farms of my childhood quickly turn into unrecognizable, high-density developments. These memories have compelled me to take action here in Frederick County, creating in me a passion for promoting our farms and industry, while keeping an intrinsic sense of community.
As a long-term resident, small business owner and the mother of two college-age daughters who have graduated from Frederick County Public Schools, I understand the diverse needs critical to our county. I’ve been a soccer/dance mom and have participated on every level of community involvement.
I’m well past the political learning curve. I will bring to Frederick County a generous network of resources with an understanding of what people, processes, and procedures it takes to get the job done.
